Forbes: Clasamentul celebrităţilor plătite exagerat la Hollywood

Revista Forbes a publicat un top al celebrităţilor plătite exagerat la Hollywood, în raport cu veniturile aduse de filmele în care au jucat, prima poziţie fiind ocupată de actorul de comedie Will Ferrell, urmat de actorul britanic Ewan McGregor. Billy Bob Thornton, Tom Cruise şi Jim Carrey s-au clasat şi ei între primii zece actori plătiţi exagerat.

Will Ferrell a ocupat prima poziţie în urma eşecului filmului său "Land of the Lost", lansat în vara lui 2009, despre care Forbes susţine că a avut costuri de producţie de 100 de milioane de dolari, dar a obţinut încasări de doar 65 de milioane de dolari pentru studioul producător (Universal Pictures).

Acest film urmează dezamăgitorului "Semi-Profesionist", lansat de Ferrell în 2008, care a o obţinut încasări de doar 43 de milioane de dolari, şi peliculei "Fraţi vitregi/ Step Brothers" din 2008, cu încasări de 128 de milioane de dolari.

I feel extremely fortunate to have been born when I was (in 1957). I personally think I have lived through some very exciting times. Of course I'm sure many folks have said the same thing in the past. For example, there were no cars or airplanes when my grandfather was a kid; a television was not something my father ever expected to own when he was young; and when my mother was growing up, she didn't have electricity in the house until 1943!

For myself, I have seen some amazing things, but nothing like what is racing toward us like a speeding bullet. It may seem that the world has changed dramatically in just the last few years (MP3 players, camera cell phones, handheld GPS units and more). In reality, the roller-coaster ride is just about to begin. Hold onto your hats; here we go-oooooohhhhhoooo ...
